Travel Photo: Okukubi River Mangrove Reflections

It Pays to Know When the Tide is High

The Okukubi River flows from Kin Dam to the ocean.

The water is brackish and the depth of the river, depends on the ocean tides.

To capture a photo like this, I walked the west bank of the river in late afternoon.

It happened to be the route, I was taking to do some full moon photography.

The full moon increases the effect of high tide so, the river was deeper than usual.

The setting sun, helped boost the reflection of the trees for this composition.
