Spotted on a rice paddy dike, this animal was hunting for a meal.
An invasive species, brought to the islands to eliminate snakes, they are out of control pests.
Look closely at the lower left of this picture for the birds, hiding.
A male and female Painted Snipe, remain motionless.
Their camouflage fooled the mongoose and cameraman, too !
