A Week Full of Fun, Photos and New Stuff. Dang, I Got Busy !

This week started off with a visit to another island and an event inside a cave.

There's a story, for sure, coming out of this, once I get it all sorted out.

But, plenty of research needs to be done so I can give you an accurate account of what took place.

Most of the time, when I'm at some cultural event like this, I get so wrapped up with trying to compose the best possible photos, I kind of miss out on what's really going on around me.

The middle of the week saw me chasing unidentified flying butterflies.

What I normally do with these critters is take plenty of shots.

Get them at different positions and from several angles.

The color isn't the only thing you need to ID a butterfly.

Markings and colors on the wings are important.

The size and shape of their body and antenna give you some clues, too.

Well, I just got so busy developing photos from that cave and butterflies I've been chasing this week, that I ran out of time to complete my research.

 But, I'm counting my blessings.

One of the women from the cave whacked me with a stick.

And did some prayers by the fire.

Maybe, my fortunes will change.

Look at what I found this week.

That's my new office. I'll be moving uptown, soon.

Once I get that place hooked up to the world wide web, I'll be back in business.

Then, I can have three computers running at the same time and not get so far behind when I'm busy !

Friday Travel Photo: Mt. Fuji in the Morning by RyukyuRusty

It's been fairly busy around here these days.  Heck, I even missed Travel Photo Thursday.

RyukyuRusty took this photo last month, one time, when the sun actually showed up.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then, go make up your own words for this one.

I'm just gonna tell you, it's Mt. Fuji in the morning and get on outta here.

That's because, like I said, it's been fairly busy around here these days.

PICADADAY

Another shot taken on the 22d of August 2009, the longest camera shoot, I think I've ever done in my whole life, is this one.

Hopefully, one of these days, when I'm all caught up, I'm either going to the post office to mail a framed print of this to the gal or I'm going to hand deliver it.

Procrastination should have been my middle name or I should get paid for it, because I do it better than anyone I've ever met. That's a fact.  I'll probably be the oldest man in Japan, someday because I'll just keep putting-off dying.

I've got this gal's name and address somewhere in my emails, a permission to have the photo published, her niece and niece's husbands emails, directions to everyone's houses and the framed photo stuffed in an envelope ready to go.  Just never have the time to put it all together and gitterdun, as they say back in redneck country.

What I really need isn't a kick in the butt or push in the right direction; I need a secretary.  Someone who could do all that kinda stuff like, my typing, taxes, translating, driving, shopping, Xmas cards, birthday cards delivering photos and all the other stuff that keeps me too busy to remember what I'm supposed to be doing everyday. I need, like an intern.  Someone who does the stuff for free and is happy for all the practical experience they gain by hanging around with me.

They wouldn't have to worry about me going presidential on them or anything, either.  I don't play golf so, I put running for president on the back burner for so long, I'm probably not qualified anymore, if ya know what I mean.

Anyway, I did keep one promise I made to the gal dancing around the fires. I got it published and emailed a link to her family. HERE.
