What's Wrong With That Picture ? (Photo) Lame Duck and the Nun

Not Trying to be Overly Political or Religious

Here's a photo of a real-live lame duck taken in Okinawa, Japan.

Before I start shooting wildlife, I survey the background to make sure there are no distractions.

I make sure there are no dump trucks, washing machines or loose gorillas running around.

When the eyeball is peeking through the viewfinder, all I see is the bird's eye.

The camera is on spot-focus.

There is nothing else that matters to me.  Just keep focus, dead center on the bird's eye.

Focus, move with the bird and keep adjusting exposure settings.

For all I know, the bird could be showing hooves, claws or be wearing a wedding band.

All I am looking at is the eye; dead-center in the eye.

So, I never knew I was shooting a lame duck, until Doc Graff mentioned it.

A couple of dozen shots of this bird with a crippled foot got thrown away.

Nobody wants a photo of a lame duck.

That's what's wrong with this picture.

Checkout the Picture of this 83 Year Old Nun

She got convicted of busting into a government nuclear compound.

Depending upon who you listen to, she could be locked away for 20-30 years.

It's as if she was some sort of threat to national security.

Makes you wonder who guards those sorts of things. The gal doesn't look like a ninja, to me.

There's probably, not a terrorist bone in her body.

Instead of making her rot in jail they should just send her to Rome.

Maybe, the Pope could spank her or, something.

Take a look.  And let me know.  What's wrong with that picture ?

What's Wrong With That Picture? (Photo) Knives and Bullets

That's My Trusty Old Swiss Army Knife

It's been awhile since I've written a What's Wrong With That Picture.

So, I'd better explain.  I already know what's wrong with this photo; it was taken in a hurry.

But, it is related, somewhat, to the picture I want you to take a look at.

The good news is, this Swiss Army Knife can go on an airplane with me, again.

The blade can't exceed 2.36 inches.  We're safe.

Southwest Airlines doesn't like it but, they shouldn't worry.

Nobody's planning on poking a flight attendant with one of these little knives.

There Are More Important Things to Be Concerned About

The United States of America is buying gazillions of bullets for Homeland Security.

Millions of them are hollow point rounds.

These type bullets are illegal to use in combat, according to international law.

So, the Social Security special agents,  National Marine Fisheries Service,

and Department of Homeland Security get to use the cop-killing ammo.

See for yourself and after you read the article come on back and tell me....

What's Wrong With That Picture? (Photo) At The White Castle

This picture took some time.  We don't have many white castles for me to get photos of in Okinawa, Japan.

I really needed one for the sad story I'm about to tell you.

Yesterday I got lucky and found this white-looking castle in a park on a hill.

Here's the sad story.

There's this poor fat stockbroker guy named Martin Kessman who banged his knee on a table at a White Castle hamburger joint in New York State. They didn't make the tables to accomodate fat, clumsy people of his caliber.  So, the dude figures he should take the hamburger flippin' folks to court.

He wants to use the Americans with Disabilities Act to sue the fast food place because, um....

How do you say it ?

See, I don't like cuss words on my blog.  So, I don't know what to say.

Just, I know plenty of people with real disabilities.  And it got me wondering if that poor stockbroker was born that way.  Er, did someone stuff enough hamburgers down his throat to make him a 290 pound, American with Disabilities.  Poor fat guy.  Dang.  I almost cussed.

Remember, I don't want to know what's wrong with this picture.

Go over and see this high caliber, New York stockbroker squeezed into a cafeteria table.

It could be at a Dunkin Donouts, an ice cream parlor, pizza joint or another hamburger joint.

Who knows ?

THEN, COME ON BACK OVER HERE AND TELL ME

WITHOUT CUSSING, PLEASE

What's Wrong With That Picture ? (Photo) Make Hitler a Female ?

Regular visitors know whenever I do a "What's Wrong With That Picture" my photo has absolutely nothing to do with what I'm about to show you.  I just surf the news for something weird and find an old photo, dust it off and use it as an introduction.  This one suits my purposes just fine.

Today I found out there was a bird brained scheme the allied war geniuses came up with to sort of turn Adolph Hitler into a girly-man.

I figure this bird acting as if he's wondering what's going on down below his waistline might help get everyone's imagination working before I send you off on a link to the Huffington Post.

It seems like some of those 007-type spies figured the best way to tame Hitler's aggressive personality would be to slip some women's hormones into his soup.  Hah !  If he was a girly man he wouldn't want to take over the world.  He'd sit around the house watching TV and eating Bon Bons, I bet they thought !

Now, I don't want to know what's wrong with this picture.  I want you to take a look at the bird brained scheme ALLIES PLOT TO SLIP ESTROGEN TO HITLER TO MAKE HIM 'LESS AGRESSIVE'

Tell me What's Wrong With That Picture ?

What's Wrong With That Picture? Virgin Tea in China

Here is a photo of a teafield in Okinawa, Japan.

Tea is some pretty good stuff and even though I could be classified as a coffeeholic

I do enjoy a good cup of tea every now and again.

Iced tea, I love the stuff especially on a hot summer day.

Enough about my picture of a tea field.

There's some teafields in China I'd like you to have a peek at.

Seems like some folks over China way like their tea a bit different than most of us.

Like, they believe in fairies.

And if there ain't enough fairies around to pick all the tea, there's a solution.

Hire a buncha virgins.  Make sure they have a certain sized boobs.

Pay them a decent wage but, make them pick the tea without their hands.

What's wrong with that picture?

Go have a look at the virgins picking tea with their LIPS IN CHINA

And, if you have a moment come on back over here and tell me

What's Wrong With That Picture? Ten Million Bucks in a Field !

This is my picture of a gal in a field, not far from where I live in Okinawa, Japan.  She gave me the evil eye while I was taking her photo but, that's probably because I look a little suspicious. I'm a foreigner.

Now, if I was going to do anything fancy with this picture, like sell it, I'd chase the gal down, make friends with her, get her to sign a model release form and print, frame and give the picture to her.

If she ain't too young maybe we could have a sake or some beer together.

When I saw her working the field I figured she was cultivating rice.  That's done in the fields around here.

So, my question isn't about what's wrong with this picture.

I want to know what's wrong with the picture up in a place called Gimje, South Korea.

The police caught this guy with Ten Million US Dollars planted in his field of garlic.  They have a picture of what all those $100 bills look like in nice, neat bundles stacked and wrapped with rubberbands.

The farmer, must be a pretty fast-talker.  He told the cops his brothers-in-law got him to plant the money.  They were unavailable to speak to the press at the time.  One was in prison and the other guy ran away.

The police in the USA should make friends with those cops in South Korea and, I bet, they might find enough US Dollars to pay off the national debt.

It sounds like the banks are so full of dollars, people are using them to fertilize the garlic fields in Korea.

Have a look at $10 MILLION CASH .  "What's Wrong With That Picture"?

What's Wrong With That Picture? Mayor in NJ Picks on Chickens

Today the Mayor of Hopewell Township in New Jersey gets his 15 minutes of attention on my blog.  When I browsed through AOL News of the Weird today, this gem was discovered and it only took me a few minutes to dig up something out of my files.  I knew if I hung on to this photo, with a couple of suspicious-looking roosters running around at the edge of town in Okinawa, Japan it would come in handy someday.  Now, I'm not asking anyone to tell me what's wrong with this picture.  What I'd like you to do is imagine some Mayor passing a law telling chickens when they can and can't mate. Roosters in the Township of Hopewell, NJ have to prove that they are free of disease and are forbidden from crowing about their escapades with the chicks. If they get caught bragging too loudly, they can even get kicked out of town for two years.  They are permitted to date chicks only for ten days out of the year.
Mayor Jim Burd must have way too much time on his hands or be really, really afraid of big roosters.

Mature, male roosters are not allowed because they are too noisy. The immature guys have to do the breeding ( I guess) in his neck of the woods. HAVE A LOOK if you think I make this stuff up.

Then, you tell me.  What's wrong with that picture?

What's Wrong With That Picture? Burger King CEO & A Whopper !

OK.  I hope everyone knows the way this thing works by now.  I find some bizarre tidbit of news from around the world then, go digging through my files to see if I have anything to use as a visual aid.  Some sort of eye-catcher to trick people into coming here.  It's a marketing gimmick I learned from being married so many times.  But, I'm not doing this to insult women.  That'd be Burger King's specialty.

My picture was taken at a Burger King in Japan.  I don't need anyone's help telling me what's wrong with my picture.

I want to know what's wrong with that picture (imagination required, here) of the CEO of Burger King talking to a bunch of college students in Chicago.  Picture this, if you will:

Bernardo Hees, the CEO of the company that invented The Big Whopper, wants to impress the ladies in his American audience (I'm guessing here) so, he tells them about his time at the University of Warwick in England.

The difference between the USA and the UK, he says, is "Here the food is good and you are known for your good-looking women."  But in the UK, GET THIS: "Food is terrible and the women are not very attractive."

What a freakin' knuckle head.  He, of course, apologized later saying it was just a joke and he was using it to "connect" with his audience.  Phbbbttt !

If he really wanted to make a joke he could have said something like, "I like my burgers just like I like my eggs and women; over easy."  Wink, wink, wink.  That jackass can't even come up with a decent joke.

He should be fired and ME HIRED.  Down with Burger King. I never liked their coffee, anyway.

Don't take my word on this. I could be makin' stuff up.  Take a look at the source, if you get a chance.  It's all here in the GUARDIAN FROM THE UK.  Have a peek and you tell me "What's Wrong With That Picture?"

What's Wrong With That Picture ? (Photo) The Aliens are Back !

The thought had crossed my mind.  Making What's Wrong With That Picture a regular weekly feature here.  But, I'm not sure I'd be able to come up with enough material.  There's a lot of bizarre, whacky and unusual stuff going on in the world.  Where on the tiny island of Okinawa would I ever find the photos needed to introduce these off the wall and sometimes, unbelieveable tidbits of news that come across the wires ?

Well, this baby just fell into my lap today.  Aliens.  I have a photo in my pocket.  It's on my cell phone.

This photo was snapped in March of 2007.  Here is proof that aliens exist on the island of Okinawa, Japan.

I have a picture and two witnesses.  They held the rascal still so I could snap the photo and pretty soon they'll be old enough to testify or whatever scientsts have you do.

They are my Grandkids.  We were walking the dogs when I spotted the alien.  I asked them to grab it so I could get a quick photo of them standing alongside it. That would give it a sense of scale.

The one on the right, she's my Granddaughter.  I can't get her to go dumpster diving anymore.

She's a teenager now.  You know girls.  Once they hit a certain age, dumpster diving is only for guys.

If we spot another alien, us men will have to grab it.  Girls might take the photo, if we're lucky.

Enough about my picture.  I don't need anyone telling me what's wrong with this picture.

I'll give you a link to these guys who call themselves the Furious Fanboys.

They got the goods on the FBI, aliens and the whole Roswell, New Mexico UFO Incident.

You have to see the evidence they presented and make your own decision.

Good old conspiracy theories just give me goose bumps.  I'm having flashbacks thinking about those FBI cartoonish characters Scully and Mulder from the X-Files TV Series.

They used to say stuff like "Trust no one" and "The truth is out there".  Wooooo.  This is good !

If you have any kind of extraterrestrial music lying around the house, put it on and crank it up real loud. Then go have a peek at Oops! FBI Confirms Roswell UFO Incident.

If you're lucky enough to not get abducted either by aliens or the FBI, I'd like to hear from you again.

Just your opinion.  What's wrong with that picture ?

What's Wrong With That Picture? (Photo) Drunk Pilots in India

He may have wings on his shirt and, maybe had a few drinks in his lifetime but, this Dude is relatively harmless.  It's not like he's gonna go out and maim somebody with his bicycle.  When he drinks, he drinks.  And when he drives, he drives.  But, you'll never see him driving when he's been drinking.  This photo was taken by Jarod Sampson in Okinawa, Japan.  I don't want to know what's wrong with this picture.

The picture my question is about concerns guys with wings on their shirts in India.  You need to use some imagination for this one.  Picture this, if you will:

How about 57 pilots in India, over the past two years, busted for attempting to fly while intoxicated ?

Eleven of them got fired !   The rest of the drunk pilots (46 in my mind) are still flying airplanes with people as passengers.  Some of them got fined, or warned, "Ya shouldn't do stuff like that" but, they get to go back up in the air with travelers thinking, "Plane looks pretty safe, to me".  Yawn.

Call me overly cautious, if you'd like, but, if I had a goat I wanted to send to the market I'd trust the Dude with the bike to get there safely.

You won't catch me stuffin goats, dead or alive, on any airplanes flown by those drunken pilots in India.

Go have a look yourself and tell me WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT PICTURE ?

What's Wrong With That Picture? (Photo) Horse at a Beach

Let me explain.  This horse is safe and sound from predators.  It is on a beach in Okinawa, Japan.

There's been some confusion, in the past, when I ask "What's Wrong With That Picture".  I don't want to know what's wrong with my photo.  I want to know what's wrong with the picture (you may have to use some imagination) in the TRUE STORY I'm about to give you.

Today's What's Wrong With That Picture comes from South Carolina, USA and it happened somewhere in the vicinity of Myrtle Beach.  It also, involves a horse.

This guy will probably never get hired-on by the mounted police department of any country in the world.  He only mounts one horse and it's not the way most policemen would go about it.

Twice, this individual has pleaded guilty to mounting a horse for something the courts call buggery, once in 2007 then again (with the same horse) in 2009.

There's a photo of this character provided by the Horry County Detention Center so, if you see him sneaking around your stables (because some genius turned him loose),  LOCK THE DOORS AND CALL THE POLICE !

Now, I don't want to know what's wrong with the picture the Horry County people gave us either.

What I'd like, is for you to read this CRIME AND JUSTICE story in the Charleston Observer and think about it for a minute or two.  Then, tell me, WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT PICTURE ?
