Wordless Wednesday: She Was Outstanding in Her Field

Sunflowers in February

It was windy and a bit cloudy.

So, I singled out one flower and bumped the camera up to ISO 400.

Then, I backed up and went wide angle to show the mountains in the background.

A Sunflower Festival is scheduled to take place here, this weekend.

Not wanting to mingle with the crowds, I probably will go somewhere else.

Himawari Matsuri -- Sunflower Festival in Okinawa

 

Today was the first time I ever went to the Sunflower Festival.

 

For a minute it looked like we would lose the blue skies.

So, I hurried and shot this.

Then, said, "Lets get outta here and go back up north to see cherry blossoms."

 It isn't that I'm scared of sunflowers or, anything like that.

But, what if I would have lost one of my yellow flip-flops in those fields ?
