Dendrocopos kizuki is what the scientific community calls them.

A Long, Hard Day with the Camera
The day started here on Sesoko-jima.
And, it ended here in Nago City Okinawa, Japan.
Close to a thousand photos came out of the camera today.
It's going on 2AM right now and somebody is tired.
So, some links will be made to explain where these photos came from.
That will give me time to drink some dogs and walk a few beers before I fall asleep.
