Trying to Explain 2016 Election

The wife watches Japanese news every morning on the kitchen television.

When they have US presidential debates, portions are shown here, with Japanese subtitles.

People around the globe are concerned about who the next US president will be.

Politics and I, don't get along so, I stay away from them and, mind my own business.

Yeah, I worry too and, thought of something to say, while shooting this animation.

Here's the Deal Grasshopper

Back there in the USA, trying to the next become president, are two worthless people.

One of them is a lying sack of crap and, the other is just a sack of crap.

Quit wiggling around and worrying, Grasshopper and listen to me when I'm talking.

Next month, we'll all know, which sack of crap is the election winner.

Get all your locust friends to crap in a sack, for me.

And, I'll see if I can find someone, to mail it to the next Grand Poobah of the USA !

Multitasking Critter

This guy was munching away at a leaf out in the rock garden this afternoon.

Meteorology shamans, have been dumping some iffy predictions on the islands.

So, I've been hanging around, doing office things lately.

Staring at computer monitors for extended periods, isn't good for your health.

Every 30 minutes, I go outdoors to look at green stuff; it relaxes the eyes.

Some folks, call it nature therapy but, I need more than that.

While outdoors, I stretch and, do what you could call, nicotine replacement therapy, too.

It looks like everyone has been getting into multitasking, these days, even animals.

Just guessing, that bug seems to be doing several things, at one time.

It's munching on that leave, checking for WiFi signals and, doing some sort of yoga.

Out there, without a camera, I had to run inside and grab something. Here's what it was:

オキナワモリバッタ (Okinawamoribatta)

 

 

The Okinawa Mori Batta translates as, Okinawa Forest Grasshopper.

Some people would call it a locust.

 

Waiting for this bug to move, helped identify it.

The bright red on the lower part of the hind legs was a good clue.

Looking at the grasshopper from many angles, I checked lots of sources.

That way, no scientists can argue with me, when I name the critter.

The photos were all taken with a Pentax DA 50mm F1.8 lens on the K3 camera.

It's starting to look like, buying a decent macro lens, might happen in the near future.

An Unidentified Grasshopper Showed Up Today

So I Shot It About 500 Times

The jackhammers were at it, all day, in front of the office.

After a few hours of having my brain and bones rattled, I had to get outside.

This insect was kind enough to entertain me and, I have plenty of photos left to develop.

Some clues, found online, gave me two possible names for the critter.

It could be a Taiwan hanenaga indago or, Oxya chinensis formosana.

And, I have a jackhammer dandy headache.

So, I'm outta here.

Jiminy Cricket, Give Wikipedia's Jimmy Wales Some Change !

Just in case you haven't already noticed, Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia, keeps showing up on the top of the page whenever you visit. That's got to be pretty tiring.

Well, Jiminy Cricket, if everybody just gives him a little change, he can quit popping up on the page and go do more important stuff.

Whenever I run across a critter,  such as in the photo above,  I want to know if it's a cricket or a grasshopper.  So, I go to Wikipedia.  Somebody there knows.

This character jumped on my keyboard while I was having a coffee break.

Could be a Jiminy Cricket.  Could be a grasshopper.  Wikipedia knows.
