Tourists in the background are passing through Gyokusendo Cave in Okinawa, Japan. In the foreground is a limestone stalagmite called "The Golden Cup". Springs flowing within the cave fill the cup to overflowing and the pool of water surrounding the formation has been named "The Fountain of Happiness".

Beautiful shot Mike! Also, congrats on the CNN article.
Thanks for posting to Travel Photo Thursday!
Nancie,
Thank you. Never go on a shoot in a cave with a massive hangover. Learned something new today!
Very interesting place and shot. I love the name "The Fountain of happiness" - sounds good to me! Also, I'm sure that's good advice you gave to Nancie above!
Cathy,
Thank you. Yeah, I wasn't too thrilled when on of my shoes fell into the "Fountain" and the day got worse when I dropped my camera and it bounced off the pavement outside. Everything turned out alright though!
