These photos demonstrate how much legroom you can expect on flights between the USA and Japan.
This photo was taken aboard a JAL flight from Okinawa to Tokyo Apr 20, 2012.
There was so much legroom I thought somebody made a mistake and let me slip into 1st class seating.
Continuing my trip to the USA on a Delta flight there wasn't enough room in the cheap seats for me to bend over and unlace my shoes.
It got me thinking. People should start growing shorter legs in the USA.
That way the airlines could squeeze the seats even closer together.
They'd probably make a heck of a lot more money if they could stuff more passengers into the poor people section of those airplanes.
If they want to hire me as an airline consultant, I'd tell them what I think.

Thank goodness I'm short!! And I don't have to deal with that haha.
Have fun in NY!! :)
Alison,
Looks like the rain followed me from Okinawa. Hope I don't get blamed for it !
Mike, we needed the rain, so I'm not going to blame you. Haha!
Alison,
Glad to hear the rain is needed. But, I decided it didn't come from Okinawa. It's freezing rain, to me. I suspect maybe the Canadians or Koreans sent it this way.
Hahahaha!! It is mighty cold out there now! Those darn Canucks or Koreans! Ugh.
Alison,
This morning I work up and was having coffee at Sleepy Hollow Lake when I spotted a few deer. Ran in and grabbed the Canon G12 and got a few deer. 40 Degrees outside and in my flipflops. Gotta love New York!
Your about an hour north of me, so I assume more cold up there! Brr. At least you have flip flops. I keep going out on the back porch with bare feet. Hope the weather warms up while you are in NY!
Nah, the yank airlines have got it right. Who the hell wants to sit in a confined space for 7 hours with the stench of 300 pairs of sweaty feet stinking up the place? You can't exactly roll down a window, can you. Enjoy the big apple Mike.
Alison,
LOL I was barefoot first few times, too. Put on my flipflops for the shooting, though. Less camera shake that way !
Ryan,
Enjoying the trip but, far north of the big apple.
