Photo of the Day from Sleepy Hollow Lake New York

Here is a photo of the day that you don't see me doing very often.

This was taken handheld with the Canon G12 at 6:26AM Apr 22, 2012

f/4.5  1/40  ISO 400 at a focal length of  30mm

The temperature was a blazing 40 degrees centigrade and I was wearing brand new flip flops.

My favorite niece picked me up at JFK International Airport yesterday and dropped me off in the

 Catskill Mountains.

Then, went and got her uncle some flip flops to make him feel at home.

Er else I would have shot those deer at Sleepy Hollow Lake barefooted.

Cool picture but not nothing I'd consider worth losing your head over....

It looks great!! And someone should have told you to bring warm shoes! It was warm a few days ago! :)

Welcome to the USA! Nice of your niece to get you those flip-flops. I wouldn't picture you without them. Great photo.

Doc,
Nah, I wouldn't lose my head over any photo unless maybe, trying to get a guillotine shot!

Alison,
It was unbelievably warm when I first arrived. Lots colder now, though.

Cathy,
My favorite niece couldn't picture me without the flip flops, either.

Those flip flops must be sound proof, it's not easy getting this close to deer Mike. Mmmm venison....

Ryan,
My niece would never give her uncle noisy flip flops. But, actually, the deer were trying to sneak up on me.
