A Single Cherry Tree on Mt. Yaedake (Photo)

On the way home from the Okinawa International Orchid Show I visited Mt. Yaedake.

The cherry trees are starting to sprout their green leaves,

That means soon, all the sakura  (桜) or, cherry blossoms, will be gone.

Rather than shoot photos of the road winding up the mountainside, I picked this single tree.

The bright pink of the flowers makes a nice contrast with the surrounding background.

There are still a few places you can go, if your into Cherry Blossom chasing.

Just check the Okinawa Tourist Information Website

Very Nice Mike, I'm looking forward to the cherry blossom season here on the mainland soon :)
