Bird in the Flowers GIF and Some Words About Terabytes

Japanese White Eye, cherry blossoms

Mejiro in Sakura

In case you missed cherry blossom season in Okinawa, here's one last image.

On January 10, 2015 about 200 photos were taken in the northern hills.

The camera was being downloaded, until a warning popped up on the screen.

It said something like: THERE IS NO MORE ROOM ON YOUR EXTERNAL DRIVE

WE CAN'T FINISH DOWNLOADING YOUR SD CARD

A Two Terabyte Hard Drive Full

Luckily, there was another two terabyte external drive on standby.

Some quick USB and SD swaps and I was back in business, downloading.

Today just happens to be the first time, I noticed these bird and blossom photos.

It seems like, it only takes about a year to fill up a hard drive with images.

They keep making cameras that shoot larger photos and SD cards big enough to hold them.

Remember when a gigabyte was a lot of information ?

Well, a Terabyte is 1000 Gigabytes.

And, they have stuff called Petabytes, Zettabytes, Brontobytes and Geobytes.

The Japanese White Eye (bird) or, Mejiro, are still in the area.

Cherry Blossoms (sakura) are long gone but, blooming in northern Japan.

It's time for me to start shopping for another external drive as a back-up.

Plenty more will be added to Trees, Flowers, Ferns during 2015.
