Butterfly Photo: Common Grass Yellow

This Common Grass Yellow (Eurema hecabe) butterfly photo was taken February 15, 2013.

Searching on Butterflies of Japan, it only took a few minutes to get an identification.

It's always a good idea to take the research a bit further.

So, I looked over on Wikipedia and said  "Naa".

Then, what I did was start Googling "Eurema hecabe" until I found something worth sharing.

The site, I liked best, had great photography and, I thought, the best information.

They said females of this species are more discreet than males.

Well, I'll drink to that !

Even though it's "Common" it's still a very pretty butterfly! :)

Alison,
The rascals may be common but, the are one of the most skittish butterflies, I've every photographed.
Or, they're just camera shy !
