Latin Name: Cyrestis thyodamas
Common Name: Common Map Butterfly
It gets the name from resembling a map, with all the lines on the wings.
There are several similar looking one in the family of this species.
They are found throughout Asia and Southeast Asia.

Thanks for posting this, Mike! We just saw this butterfly in our home yesterday and I was trying to find what kind of butterfly it was and stumbled across your website. We have no idea how it got inside!! It was pretty big too!
